Products & services
From the wellhead to the burner tip.
We trade physical energy and take responsibility for everything that has to happen between the seller's tank and the buyer's terminal.
Overview
Five streams, one book.
Our product coverage is deliberately connected. Crude feeds the refineries that make our products; those products compete with the gas we supply; the same vessels carry both, and the same customers buy across the range.
Running these streams on one book means we can offer a counterparty optionality that a single-product trader cannot — swapping grades, changing delivery windows, or covering a shortfall out of a different molecule when that is the faster answer.
01 — Crude oil
Crude oil
We buy crude at the source and place it with refiners who value the specific yield of each grade — matching sulphur, density and metals content to a refinery's actual configuration rather than treating barrels as interchangeable.
- Grades: sour and sweet Middle East crudes, regional export blends and opportunistic distressed cargoes.
- Structures: spot cargoes, term supply contracts, and processing or tolling arrangements where a refiner has spare capacity but not the working capital.
- Delivery: FOB at loading terminals, or CFR/DES into the buyer's discharge port with freight arranged by us.
- Pricing: against established regional benchmarks, fixed or floating, with hedging available where a counterparty wants price certainty.
Cargo size is matched to the buyer, not the other way round. Where a full VLCC is more than a customer needs, we break bulk through storage and deliver in the parcels their jetty can actually take.
02 — Refined products
Refined products
The largest part of our book. We supply the fuels that move vehicles, generate power and feed industry, into importers, distributors, resellers and large end users.
- Middle distillates: gasoil and diesel across the sulphur range, and jet fuel to internationally recognised aviation specifications.
- Light ends: gasoline and blend components, and naphtha for both petrochemical feed and gasoline blending.
- Heavy ends: fuel oil for power generation and industrial use, plus bitumen and base oils on enquiry.
- Blending: we blend to a buyer's specification at storage rather than forcing them to accept a standard grade.
Quality is independently inspected at load and discharge by internationally recognised surveyors, and we share certificates of quality and quantity as a matter of course — not only when they are asked for.
03 — Gas
LPG & natural gas
Gas demand is seasonal, weather-driven and unforgiving of late delivery. We plan supply around a customer's demand curve rather than our own loading convenience.
- LPG: propane, butane and mixes for domestic bottling, autogas and petrochemical feedstock, in pressurised and refrigerated parcels.
- LNG: cargo supply and delivered arrangements, working with terminal operators on slot availability and regasification.
- Natural gas: supply arrangements for industrial and power-sector offtakers in the markets we serve.
- Seasonality: term structures with flexible nomination windows so buyers can build stock ahead of peak demand.
04 — Petrochemicals
Petrochemicals
Drawing on the North Wind group's chemicals franchise, we supply the intermediates that converters and manufacturers turn into finished goods.
- Aromatics: benzene, toluene and xylenes for downstream chemical manufacture.
- Olefins & derivatives: ethylene and propylene derivatives, and polymer-grade material on enquiry.
- Solvents & intermediates: industrial-grade chemicals supplied against agreed specification and certificate of analysis.
- Handling: parcel tankers, ISO tanks and drummed cargo, with the documentation and dangerous-goods compliance each mode requires.
05 — Marine fuels
Marine fuels & bunkering
Shipowners need the right fuel, at the right port, on the day the vessel is alongside. Late or off-spec bunkers cost far more than the fuel itself.
- Grades: VLSFO and HSFO, and marine gasoil, meeting the applicable sulphur limits for the vessel's trading pattern.
- Compliance: supplied against MARPOL Annex VI requirements with bunker delivery notes and retained samples.
- Coverage: delivery at the bunkering hubs along the trade lanes we serve, coordinated with the vessel's schedule.
- Quality assurance: independent sampling and testing so an owner knows what went into the tank before the engine does.
06 — Low-carbon
Biofuels & low-carbon
Blending mandates and emissions rules are tightening across the markets we serve. We are building the supply chains our customers will need to meet them.
- Products: biodiesel and blend components, ethanol, and used cooking oil and other waste-derived feedstocks.
- Certification: supplied under recognised sustainability certification schemes with chain-of-custody documentation.
- Blending support: help meeting a mandated blend percentage without disrupting an existing fuel supply arrangement.
- Advisory: practical guidance on how changing regulation is likely to affect a counterparty's procurement over the next few seasons.
Capability
The services wrapped around every trade.
These are not optional extras that we charge for separately. They are what makes a physical trade complete.
Trading & origination
Direct producer relationships, structured term and spot supply, and pricing against the benchmarks your business already uses.
Shipping & freight
Vessel vetting and chartering, voyage management, laytime and demurrage control, and agency coordination at both ends.
Storage & blending
Tankage at key hubs for optionality, specification blending, break-bulk into regional parcel sizes, and inventory held against term commitments.
Risk management
Price, credit, country and freight exposure measured against limits set independently of the desk, with exchange and OTC hedging.
Trade finance
Letters of credit, open-account terms and receivables structures arranged with international and regional banking partners.
Documentation & compliance
Accurate shipping documents, certificates of origin and quality, sanctions screening and customs support — prepared to arrive before the cargo does.
Working with us
Practical questions
Get in touch with the product you need, the volume, the delivery window and the discharge port. In parallel we will run our standard onboarding: know-your-customer documentation, sanctions and ownership screening, and a credit assessment. For most counterparties this is a matter of days rather than weeks, and we will tell you up front if anything is likely to hold it up.
We trade on the full range of Incoterms used in the energy business — FOB at load port, and CFR, CIF or DES into discharge — depending on who is better placed to manage the freight and the risk. If you would rather not touch shipping at all, we will deliver to your terminal and carry the voyage risk ourselves.
Usually against a published regional benchmark plus or minus a differential, priced over an agreed quotation period. Fixed-price deals are available where a counterparty wants budget certainty, in which case we hedge the exposure rather than take a directional view against you.
Documentary letters of credit are the norm for new relationships. Established counterparties with an approved credit line can trade on open-account terms. Terms are set by our credit function against the exposure, not negotiated on the trading floor.
It depends on the product and the route. Access to storage lets us break bulk and supply parcels well below a standard seaborne cargo where that is what a market needs. Tell us the size you can physically receive and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve it economically.
Have a requirement in mind?
Send us the product, volume and destination. You will get a considered response from someone who can actually price it.
