Northwind Energy trades and delivers physical energy across the Gulf, Asia and beyond — connecting producers with the refiners, utilities, industries and shipowners who depend on reliable supply.
Who we are
Energy markets move quickly, and the cost of an unreliable partner is measured in shut-in plants, idle vessels and missed obligations. We built Northwind Energy to be the counterparty that performs — on the cargo, on the terms and on the timeline agreed.
We are a physical trading business first. Our team originates barrels and molecules at the source, arranges the freight, storage and blending required to move them, and delivers them into the hands of end users. Around that sits the financing, hedging and documentation infrastructure that lets a transaction of real scale complete without drama.
As part of the North Wind group, we combine the reach and balance sheet of an established commodity trading house with the focus of a dedicated energy desk. That means a single relationship can cover a spot cargo today and a multi-year term supply agreement tomorrow.

What we trade
Each stream is run by traders who know its specifications, its logistics and its regulatory landscape — and who talk to each other daily.
Sour and sweet grades sourced at the wellhead and terminal, moved on term and spot into refining systems across Asia and the Mediterranean.
ExploreGasoline, gasoil, jet fuel, naphtha and fuel oil — blended to specification and delivered into import terminals, distributors and industrial users.
ExplorePropane, butane and LNG cargoes matched to seasonal demand, with the shipping and regasification arrangements handled end to end.
ExploreAromatics, olefins and intermediates supplied to converters and manufacturers, drawing on the group's wider chemicals franchise.
ExploreCompliant VLSFO, HSFO and marine gasoil supplied to shipowners and operators at key bunkering hubs along the trade lanes we serve.
ExploreBiodiesel, ethanol, used cooking oil and certified feedstocks — supporting counterparties as blending mandates tighten across our markets.
ExploreOur capability
A price is the easy part. Delivering against it — reliably, in every market condition — is what we are built to do.
Direct relationships with producers, refiners and national oil companies give us access to barrels that never reach the open market, and the flexibility to structure spot, term and tolling arrangements around them.
We chart the route, fix the vessel and manage the voyage. Careful vetting, laytime discipline and close agent relationships keep cargoes moving and demurrage exposure contained.
Access to tankage at key hubs lets us hold optionality, blend to a buyer's exact specification and break bulk into the parcel sizes regional markets actually need.
Every physical position is assessed for price, credit, currency and freight exposure, and hedged on established exchanges and in the OTC market under limits set independently of the trading desk.
Working with international and regional banks, we structure letters of credit, open account terms and receivables facilities so that transaction size is never the constraint on a good deal.
Global reach
From the Sultanate of Oman we sit at the mouth of the Gulf, alongside the sea lanes that carry a large share of the world's seaborne energy. It is a good place from which to trade — close to production, close to the Strait, and a short sail from the growth markets of South and East Asia.
Responsibility
The world needs the energy we move, and it needs that energy to be handled properly. We take both halves of that sentence seriously.
Our licence to operate rests on how we behave: the safety of the people and vessels carrying our cargoes, the integrity of the counterparties we accept, and the honesty of the books we keep. We do not treat compliance as a cost of doing business — it is the reason serious counterparties are willing to trade with us at all.
Alongside that, we are building a genuine position in lower-carbon products. Biofuels, certified feedstocks and cleaner marine fuels are a growing part of the book, because our customers' obligations are changing and we intend to change with them.
